Tag 5 - Viña del Mar/Santiago

Before returning to Santiago in the afternoon, we wanted to see the sand dunes of Concon. They are just 20 minutes by car above Viña del Mar and offer a great view or the opportunity to ride down the dunes, which are over 30 meters high, on a sandboard.

Due to a lack of time and equipment, we just walked through the (still) cold sand.

At 1 p.m. we got back on the bus and arrived at the hostel in Santiago a good two hours later. Since the weather was really good today, we went back to the mountain "Cerro Santa Lucia", from where we again had a great view of the Andes. The adjacent park with terraces and various fountains invited us to linger before we found ourselves in the cozy Lastarria district for dinner.

After a nightcap at the rooftop bar of our hostel, we went to bed early because the flight to Patagonia was very early the next morning.
