12.8.22 - First day in Las Vegas with open-door flight

After it poured like buckets last night, it is beautifully sunny this morning. When I wake up, I look at the Ferris wheel and the huge Flamingo Hotel. We are going on a city tour right away. I already got myself a coffee and a croissant at 6:30 am. It cost me a whopping 10 dollars! 😂 Breakfast doesn't start until 8:00 am, but I didn't book it.

The city tour was very interesting. Las Behas is huge. If you think you can walk from one corner to the other, forget it! We were not only on the strip but also in the oldest part of Las Vegas. After that, we went to the estate of Siegfried and Roy, who made Las Vegas what it is today. Then we went up a hill and took another look from a distance.

In the evening, we had the open-door flight over Las Vegas. I was really looking forward to it. You are strapped in but there are no doors on the 🚁. They picked me up beforehand with Timo and Rene. Timo ended up flying with us, even though he didn't really want to. I thought it was great and exciting to be able to take photos from the open 🚁. By the way, there are rides on the tower. After the flight, we went out for dinner. We were in the 51st floor of the Rio Hotel. From there, you also have a great view.

But it didn't get late because I have to get up at 5:15 am the next day. The shuttle for the flight to the Grand Canyon will be here shortly after six. There was also enough to see for this day.
