From Vaihingen to Balingen

So it finally caught up with us. Unfortunately, the weather forecasters were right and it was pouring in the morning. And that at 12 degrees. There was no choice but to put on the rain gear and go. The only glimmer of hope was that an improvement was forecast from the south from noon onwards. Naturally, the beauties of a route suffer greatly in such weather conditions. Therefore, there is not much to report about it. We also didn't see much of Tübingen. We waited there in a café until the rain intensity had clearly decreased. In the afternoon, it gradually got better, the rain stopped and the gaps in the clouds became bigger. The sun then allowed us to gradually reduce our clothing, and in the end, we reached the level of the previous days in this regard. Because of the weather, we had reduced the length of today's hike compared to the original plan, so we arrived in our destination Balingen in the afternoon. Tomorrow, we will probably have a few more kilometers because of that.

By the way, we also found an alternative train connection for the journey home.
