A trip to Moritzdorf

The small sleepy fishing village of Moritzdorf can be reached from the harbor in Baabe by an old rowing ferry. The passengers are actually transported on an aging rowboat by manual power.

In the village itself, there isn't much - except for peaceful, secluded tranquility. If you want to have a vacation away from tourism with just a handful of people and don't necessarily need to be close to the beach, this is the right place. Moritzdorf is located on the Baaber Bek near the Selliner Lake. The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cycling.

When we were back in Baabe, we had a craving for fresh Baltic Sea fish. We found a quaint restaurant - as it turned out, run by a fishing family. Zum Fischer offers a wide selection of freshly caught fish dishes for all fish lovers. The portions were very large and we enjoyed it immensely.
