On our last Saturday in the capital, a celebration for the third anniversary of Mini Molars is being held at the Wat Angk Portinhean Pagoda. We never received an official invitation, but since everyone else is going, we have decided to accompany them. The decorations for the celebration are once again very stylish, see for yourself in the pictures. Many people from the surrounding area are gathered here today. Men, women, and children are seated separately on rice mats laid out on the floor, and we have been given a place of honor right in front of the monks. The Buddhist monks of the pagoda are the center of the gathering. They chant various prayers and bless all those present with lotus petals and a type of holy water. Unfortunately, we don't understand much or rather anything at all, and we are not unhappy when the ceremony is over after about an hour and a half. By this time, our legs have long fallen asleep, and we have a little difficulty standing up and walking to our shoes without stumbling. We won't be staying for the meal because we are meeting Moni and Mara for our last dinner together. Several attempts to order a tuk-tuk or a rickshaw fail, so for now, we set off on foot. It doesn't take long before we are sitting on the back of a moto-taxi - Cambodian style. Two white ladies on a 50cc scooter is probably not something you see every day, and on our ride through the city, we receive several amused looks.
