First days...

Now I'm finally writing something here. We arrived in Bangkok last Tuesday evening, flew with the big A380. Huge plane, but luckily we could get some sleep. When we left the airport, the heat hit us first. By now, we have gotten used to it a bit, but you can't avoid sweating... ':)

There are a lot of impressions and after a few days, it felt like we had been here longer.

The street food is really delicious and very affordable. You can find it on almost every corner, even though you never know exactly what you're getting, it makes it a bit more exciting. Food markets are of course a paradise :) The people are very helpful and English works well too. The only somewhat negative thing are the uneven bumpy roads that keep making me fall hahaha. There are stray dogs everywhere, but as far as I can tell, they are very peaceful.

One day we met up with Felix and walked to Chinatown. It's not much different from any other city, but the food is very good. We walked a lot or took the train, but also took the TukTuk. It's really funny to ride in it, you just have to be careful not to get completely ripped off. Otherwise, people are super nice and helpful, and English works well. One day we took the train to Ayutthaya. The city used to be the capital and has pretty ancient temple ruins. It was super hot, but also super interesting. We also saw the famous stone Buddha that is intertwined in a tree. Other things: floating market, regular markets, various temples - which look relatively the same, but are still impressive, Kaoh San Road, Lumphini Park. The city is huge but we have to come back for the return flight anyway and there is much more to see.
