Natural Thermal Springs Saturnia

Tuscany has a very special surprise for us.

A natural thermal spring with sulfur-rich water gushes warm from the earth in Saturnia.

We find a parking lot nearby on a field road.

A small river pours into a beautiful waterfall after a few meters. Everything resembles a tropical landscape where you can bathe in the wonderfully warm water. You quickly get used to the sulfur smell. The water looks as if it has been treated with blue fabric softener.

We enjoy lying in the naturally formed pools in the warm water and simply relaxing.

The natural pool is accessible around the clock and is free of charge.

The individual pools are filled with small stones, sized and shaped like marbles, and have been rounded over the decades.

We found a free parking spot nearby and will stay here for two days.

It's incredibly beautiful what nature has created here.

For one euro, you can take a warm shower afterwards to rinse off the sulfur scent.
