Of course, we missed our original plan to arrive very early at the bank branch of our choice today. To my regret, I found that my shoes from the previous day were still wet and very uncomfortable. Luckily, Annalise provided me with a pair of green shoes, whose quite striking appearance would often amuse us.

However, we were not sent back home again in an attempt to open a bank account due to our lateness. Once again, we were promised that we now had everything we needed and should come back the next day. So we swallowed our anger again.

Fortunately, our unwavering good mood quickly paid off. The rest of the day went almost perfectly. After our misstep at the bank, we found a backpacker hostel in a timely manner, which we deemed suitable as accommodation for the next few days. We will probably stay there in the next few days. Furthermore, to our satisfaction, the rain stopped, which had accompanied the day up to this point.

Another highlight was the discovery of a nearby Aldi store where we were able to purchase a relatively inexpensive lunch consisting of bread and a Zazaki dip. For the equivalent of €3.50, we were able to eat until we were full for the first time without fearing a guilty conscience! A truly good feeling.

We used the rest of the day to explore the southern part of Melbourne's city center. For the first time, we saw the Yarra River flowing through Melbourne and relaxed briefly in the nearby Batman Park.

Back at our host family, another great dinner awaited us. Annalise prepared a roast beef, potatoes, and various vegetables for us, which tasted really good. Once again, we were able to experience her great hospitality.
