After three weeks of searching, we have finally found him!

Our new family member Boomerang. 'Boomie', a 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, will hopefully take us reliably across Australia with his 6-cylinder V-engine (3378 cm³ / 178 PS) and all-wheel drive. He owes his name to Richard, with whom he has traveled all around Australia for the last 17 months. As a boomerang, he already knows the track, which he now gets to go around again with us.

However, it was not easy to find him. Three weeks of intensive search, countless car inspections, several test drives, and a lot of frustration lay in the way. After several days of cleaning, he is now ready for our road trip. Only the ordered roof tent is keeping us from setting off.

In the meantime, we visited the beautiful Fremantle with its famous market hall. At Northbridge Piazza, we enjoyed the open-air cinema in pleasant temperatures. In Hyde Park, we organized our own wine tasting in a very cozy group, which was abruptly ended by the water sprinklers in the late evening. :-D

Almost every day we went to a different one of Perth's many beaches. Each one beautiful with fine sand and crystal-clear water.

Yesterday, we went sandboarding at the Lancelin sand dunes. We sped down the high dunes on boards. Even though we had sand everywhere afterwards, it was a unique experience!
