Surf lesson in the Indian Ocean 🤩

Hello friends,

Our day started today at 8:00 am with a delicious breakfast. Then we got ready for the pool, where we spent the whole morning and got our first sunburn 😅.

At 12:30 pm sharp, we had a little lunch before heading to the beach.

Once at the beach, we looked for a surfboard rental. After a short search, we found Ari, a super nice surf instructor with a fair price-performance ratio. Shortly after, he gave us an introduction to surfing and surfboards. Then we got on the board and into the water. Getting on and standing up on the board was much more difficult in the water than on land 😅. After a few falls, we figured it out, managed to keep our balance, and 'surfed' a few meters. However, I have to admit that surfing looked much better and smoother for Mareike than for me. After a full hour of riding waves, our very first surf lesson was over and Mareike and I were pretty exhausted 😴.

After the surf lesson, we stayed at the beach to watch the sunset, unfortunately, there were a lot of clouds in the sky, so the sunset didn't look as spectacular as we had hoped, but it will definitely not be our last here in Bali 😊.

After a long day at the beach, we went to a small cozy restaurant to have dinner.

Then we went back to our hotel and went straight to bed. Because of the water, the sun, and the surfing, we are pretty tired and will go to sleep soon.

Good night and greetings from Bali, Kuta

Yours, Jojo :)
