The day starts very cloudy and cold, just like yesterday. Nevertheless, I feel very energetic today. I start it off with another spontaneous cleaning action on the bus, which ends up with me cleaning up the area around the church as well, because unfortunately there is already a lot of trash lying around... :(

Then I make my way down to the river in the valley, today I want to explore the hiking trail 'Ruta del Agua' there. I hope that the sun will come out from behind the clouds, because the time of day would be perfect. Yesterday afternoon it had already disappeared behind the mountain.

And behold, I can already enjoy my breakfast with a few gentle sun flashes and later on the hiking trail it slowly warms me up more and more. So I'm warmed up enough to go for another swim after the little tour. :)

Now I am regenerated enough and Valencia can come! I will try my luck with Couchsurfing again. Before I start the trip, I pick a few pomegranates. <3 I can hardly believe that the trees are growing wild here.... The fruits look like little lanterns, it seems very fairytale-like to me. Or Christmassy. :)

Later I will know where I will be staying tonight. Gerardo, who lives in the center of the old town, can host me for two days. The drive into the city during rush hour traffic and with a four-lane roundabout is quite nerve-wracking, but I will arrive safely. I can find a parking spot without any problems, fingers crossed that my home will be safe here... I pack my backpack again and walk another 20 minutes to the old town, where I will be warmly welcomed. Although Gerardo still has a few things to prepare for his students the next day, he takes the time to have dinner together. In addition to a detailed explanation of the apartment, he connects me with the Couchsurfing WhatsApp group and also gives me a key so that I can be independent the next day. What hospitality!
