So it's been a while and we are reminiscing about our last trip to Costa Rica.
Santa Teresa is a small surfer town on the Atlantic coast and has delicious restaurants. đđââď¸ Perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying great food. âď¸đđ¤đ
Our accommodation was nestled under a big tree and we could enjoy some tasty tapas in the green surroundings. đłđĄđđťđ
However, one evening it started raining and the whole village experienced a power outage. âĄď¸đ No lights, no food! đąđ
The chef assured us that this happens often. When it rains for a long time, there can be a power outage for up to 3 days. đđ Hmm... well, we can handle that... đ¤ In the meantime, we enjoyed our glass of wine by candlelight. đˇđŻđ Once the power was restored, we could finally try the tapas. đđťđ¤
We also took a trip to Montezuma. We walked along a beautiful river to a waterfall. đđ It was hidden and refreshingly cool. đđťđ
We also explored Santa Teresa by đ˛ and enjoyed the sun on the beach. âď¸đđ
Â
Well, that's it... our 4-month journey went by so quickly. đ But we are really looking forward to seeing and hearing what our friends and family have been up to during this time... đ
South America has been incredibly impressive and diverse. We have seen and experienced so many different things. â¤ď¸
One of the highlights was definitely the Galapagos Islands, with their various unique animals. đĄđ đŚđŚđ˘đŚ đŚđ
Another highlight was the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. â° With the hike up to 4600 m above sea level, pushing us to our limits. đ
And of course, protecting the sea turtles at Gandoca was also an incredible experience. đ˘â¤ď¸ We were able to observe so many animals and discovered many plants that we had never seen before. đˇđđđąđ¸
Well, we are already thinking about our next adventure... đ
