Valparaiso 5th day

Unfortunately, I got a sore throat overnight. Either caused by the first night without a sleeping bag or a misjudgment of the weather. The sun is shining strongly here and yet there is a cool wind. I only had a T-shirt on in some parts, but it would have been better to wear a thin jacket on top. I also used the time today to wash some clothes. There will be times when we won't have as much time. The last motorcycle that was still in customs was released. Otherwise, not much happened, that was my last sentence around 5 pm. In the evening, we drove north along the Pacific to Viña del Mar. It is a holiday resort with a long sandy beach. The pictures speak for themselves. We drove through neighborhoods there, if I didn't know I was in Chile, it could have just as easily been in Mainz or Wiesbaden in the upscale district. It looked absolutely European in style. I drove back alone because I wanted to take a few more pictures. The city was chaotic again, it was getting dark by now and the police had already blocked off many streets. I had to turn around several times and dodge objects thrown onto the road by the demonstrators. Some masked protesters looked at me in astonishment as I rode through the debris with the BMW. After finding the way, I was actually relieved, but the situation didn't feel completely inconsequential to me.
