Getting to Flensburg

We left this morning at 7:30 punctually. As (almost) always, we went to the main station first. Our ICE to Hamburg was also on time, even though it had already come from Munich. Unfortunately, we already knew by then that punctuality was over. The route to Düsseldorf was closed due to a damage to the overhead line, a detour of +30 minutes. Of course, it didn't stop there, so we missed our connection in Hamburg (although only just, we saw it leave). So we waited on the platform for almost an hour. A nice break was the DB European Championship quiz, which was offered to us by two young people. We got a T-shirt as a reward. Unfortunately size M. Probably a bit tight. We finally arrived in Flensburg just over an hour late (yay, now we get 25% compensation!).

From Flensburg main station we went directly along the fjord to the Danish border and from there - as the rain began - to our hotel
