Continuing south from Ulan-Ude. Although, I would have preferred to keep heading east. The new destination was a campground in a suburb about 230 km before the Mongolian border. The climate here is already hot and dry, with a steppe-like landscape, completely different from before. The campground owner, Lukas from Luzern, was not prepared for guests. None of the facilities listed on his website (toilet, shower, washing machine, yurt) were available. Corona and then the war have brought his business to a halt. Now he is a tour guide for locals in the area. The campground, like everywhere else in the area, doesn't have any shade, so I'm extremely grateful for the shade-providing awning on the car, which is being used for the first time.
