09|10|18, Hunui Falls & Coromandel Town

Hey guys,

our morning started pretty standard again!

Egg avocado toast, coffee and sun in the morning sun.

Since we camped right next to the "Wupua Falls", the way to our track today was not really far.

As always, I tackled the track with my very own hiking shoes, my flip-flops.

So far, they have proven to be the perfect "shoe". In unbeatable speed, I can switch between the "natural barefoot feeling", which is more suitable for steeper and more climbing parts of the track, and the good old airy "flip-flop feeling", which is more suitable for otherwise painful gravel and stone sections.

After about 3 hours, we had completed the very beautiful forest track and were back at the car.

Meanwhile, I can clearly feel that my condition is noticeably improving during challenging parts of hikes. An additional motivation to keep going, besides all the incredible landscapes here!😊

Otherwise, we drove to a campsite in Coromandel Town.

So far, the Coromandel Peninsula looks really breathtakingly beautiful, even though I can only judge the part of the peninsula that is described as rather boring according to the travel guide.

I'm very excited about the coming days!
