The last 2 days we were in or at the Tayrona National Park near Santa Marta.

After a five-hour bus ride (for 250 km), we reached Santa Marta. We stayed in a small fishing village called Taganga. Here we lived far away from luxury, but due to the few tourists, everything was very cheap and quiet. In the evening, we had a fish menu on the beach for €3.

The next morning, the alarm clock rang at 05:30 to be able to get to the park as early as possible.

After 3 bus rides, we finally arrived. Thank God we bought the tickets online because even the Colombians were cheated at the box office.

The park itself is a dream!

Completely untouched nature on a massive scale.

From animals to plants, everything was represented!

We saw a kayman, an alligator, monkeys, birds...

Thousands of palm trees with thousands of coconuts.

I lack the words to properly describe this natural spectacle.

You have to see it. Even though the path is very difficult and there is constant ups and downs at 35 degrees and extremely high humidity.
