This morning, we headed to Myrtos Beach. Since this is the most popular beach on Kefalonia, we wanted to arrive early before the crowds showed up. In fact, we were among the first to arrive at the beach. When we left around noon, it was already quite busy. The beach is great, especially the water. But I found Fteri Beach even better.

Afterward, we go to the small village of Assos, which is beautifully located on the isthmus leading to a small peninsula. After having a piece of orange and almond cake in Assos, we hike up to the old fortress that sits high on the peninsula.

At the end of the day, we also visit Fiskardo. According to Birgit, it's the prettiest place we have seen in Greece so far. The number of tourists and boats in the harbor supports this statement.

For dinner, we went to “Alia”. Delicious dishes, generous portions, accompanied by Greek live music.
