3000 km east of Berlin, the sun rises about 1 hour earlier and shines at 6.30 am in my 'home office'. Time to get up.

This afternoon, we are going to one of the longest inhabited places in the world: the Citadel Hill. It offers one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the old town with the Roman Theater.

Here, powerful nations have left their marks: the Assyrians, Persians, Babylonians, Ammonites, Greeks (Philadelphia), the Romans, Byzantines, Arabs...

Interesting that these thick walls could not withstand the sons of Israel when they entered the promised land.

The nice thing here is no cars, no noise, even some peace and quiet in Amman.

People walk back and forth through the terrain, climb on the millennia-old walls... every museum in Europe would go crazy about this.

It is very impressive here. Actually, we still want to go to the Roman Theater at the foot of the hill, but my driver urgently needs something to eat. So we go to his favorite restaurant. Typical fast food with fine dishes: The specialty of the house... half a goat's head... but I can control myself.

Everything goes really fast here: Ordering and delivering the food only take 2 minutes together. No wonder there are almost as many waiters as guests, even though all tables are occupied!

The waiter didn't accidentally forget the forks. There are none in the restaurant, not even upon special request. But I have a soup, so at least a spoon.

At nightfall, a last detour to a house on a hill with a rooftop terrace: Magnificent view of the colorful city, at least at night. Good night!
