Well rested, we started our day with a slightly complicated purchase of bus tickets. After the bus ride, which was significantly shorter than our walk the day before, we went to Tivoli Park, a huge park in the center of Ljubljana, where we enjoyed our breakfast with a beautiful view.

Afterwards, we went for a coffee in the city center, where we dedicated ourselves to planning our next days. The first real rays of sunshine (which we unfortunately didn't see on our first day) sweetened our climb through nice, narrow streets to Ljubljanski grad, the castle above Ljubljana. The castle turned out to be a large exhibition and event area. We took our time and spent a little over an hour exploring it.

Back in the streets of Ljubljana, we refined our plan for Croatia on the promenade of the Ljubljanica, the river through the city. However, we had to interrupt this because we got hungry. In a typical Slovenian restaurant in the old town, we indulged in regional cuisine.

With full stomachs, we made our way back to our accommodation, where we fixed our bus and train times for Monday.
