Ocala

Since Savannah, we have not had a day without rain. The worst thunderstorms should be over by now, but the weather here changes as fast as I change my underwear. A forecast is impossible. So we are traveling to the Ocala National Park without certainty of good swimming weather.

Arriving at our destination, Silver Spring, we were full of confidence. Great swimming weather at 95 Fahrenheit, what more could you ask for... Well, as long as a thunderstorm is not within 5 miles, swimming is prohibited for 30 minutes.

Instead of swimming, we explored the area on foot. Luckily, we did not encounter any snakes, otherwise I would have pre-booked my return flight and this would be my last travel post.

Happy ending, we were allowed into the Silver Springs. Amazing, highly recommended.
