Strassen in Namibia

The roads in Namibia are in very good condition for African standards, the paved roads can be driven at over 100 km/h. However, the gravel roads sometimes have large potholes, so it is worth driving slowly and braking to avoid losing control of the car or risking damage to the suspension. Furthermore, there is always a chance that an animal might want to cross the road just when you are driving past. The speed limit on gravel roads is between 80-100 km/h, but we drive much slower for the aforementioned reasons. And even though the roads may seem endless, it only takes a few minutes before a new landscape comes into view.
