On Fridays at 11 there is always a meeting with all the volunteers. Jim and Keeley talk about upcoming events, changes in plans, etc. And everyone shares their "Best moment of the week". Today I didn't have to think long, mine was just a few minutes ago. I arrived at the project and had just put aside my pink horse when Brayan came rushing towards me. He had a gift for me: a self-painted picture (see photo). It says: Brayan para marion (Brayan for Marion). He was quite shy, but so was I. I gave him a tight hug. By the way, I didn't even know his name at first, I thought he was Elvis. Not the deceased King of Rock'n'Roll, but another boy from this class. Or from one of the others, I still can't really remember their names. Both are missing a few teeth at the front, I hope they were milk teeth... The princess was a little moved to tears...
"Brayan" is actually the Spanish version of "Brian". It's quite common here. It seems that people like American names.
Tonight I'm meeting Maggie and Silvana (new to the project) and tomorrow I'm going to the Mombacho Volcano with Maggie. I'll report, maybe not until Sunday.
I have to close now, I have to leave soon.
Temperature 30 degrees, almost cloudless, no wind.
