This morning I make my way back to Wharariki Beach via the Takaka Hill.
This time at low tide, the seal pups should be there. And indeed, several young seals were frolicking in the pools that form there at low tide. Since the sky has clouded over, I continue on to Cape Farewell, the northernmost point of the South Island.
Now it's back towards Takaka, my accommodation for today, to the Labyrinth Rocks, rock formations that form a kind of maze. Certainly not one of the highlights of this trip.
Next up are the Wainui Falls in Abel Tasman National Park. After a good two kilometers, the beautifully located waterfall is reached and captured in photos.
Afterwards, it's time to check into the motel and the evening will wind down with the usual activities.
