From Viladamat to Banyuls-sur-Mer

- had breakfast with my host and his Welsh friend (incl. fresh goji berries from the garden and a sugar-free self-baked fig cake 🤤), then continued few more kilometers through flat Catalunya before climbing the costal part of the Pyrenees, crossing to France, with amazing views

- when looking for a camp spot near Banyuls-sur-Mer, I discovered a whole bunch of people with tents in the little forests around the cliffs :D

- also, just after crossing the border I felt like I immediately was surrounded by people speaking French only - quite cool to cross a border, be confronted with another foreign language than before but still be able to understand most of it 😎

What I liked about bikepacking up the coast in Spain:

- relatively chill and relaxed car drivers when I had to go on bigger roads

- warm & dry nights, so I was only using the inner tent (much faster to set up/take down too plus view of stars ;) )

- lots of fountains to refill water everywhere

- very varied scenery
