It was Sunday morning at seven o'clock and we were ready to depart. We wanted to leave before the next storm hit. So we were chasing the storm after the other storm. The forecast said we had a three-hour window. However, the storm was still ongoing in the next town we had to reach. We didn't know what was right or wrong, especially because it had also snowed during the night. But we had to leave here, so let's go. The first 20 km were really scary and the wind was strong but no severe gusts. As we drove further, it became more relaxed. We could see the storm ahead of us and luckily we weren't fast enough to catch up with it.

So the journey became more and more relaxed and the Finnish border approached. We saw reindeer and enjoyed the scenery. Most of the lakes are still frozen and the fishermen are sitting on the ice for fishing. In the evening, we arrived at the Arctic Circle and thus at Santa Claus Village. A really great place. Here we will spend the night and tomorrow morning we will take a closer look at everything and visit Santa Claus.
