A sunny day greets us today. At 9 AM we are at the Upper Antelope Canyon. We travel by off-road vehicle to the entrance of the gorge, then descend down the stairs. We visit two sections of the gorge. What nature has created here is fantastic. There is no water flowing through the canyon; the shapes have formed solely through rain and wind. After 75 minutes, we unfortunately have to go back up. Next, we head to Horseshoe Bend. Here, the Colorado River has cut deeply into the soft sandstone, creating a beautiful bend. Unfortunately, there were many people here on Sunday. For lunch, we drove to our hotel in Page. At 2 PM, the girls take me to the Lower Antelope Canyon. However, they don't want to join me and instead visit the Glen Canyon Dam, a colossal arch dam. I head to the tour for the Lower Canyon at the Visitor Center, and soon we are off. I do not regret it; the impressions from the morning are topped. The variety of shapes and the length of the canyon are impressive. We meet again at 4 PM and run errands. For dinner, we are at a Mongolian grill restaurant and extremely satisfied.
