Italians and their sweets in the morning!
The ignoble Gaijin caused quite a stir in the coffee!
Yesterday I asked the hostel owner if it's okay for me to have something proper to eat in the morning. She called a coffee place that serves edible stuff and said it's alright.
So in the morning, I enter the place, write it in Google Translator, the silverback of the party gets wide-eyed, starts swearing, a lady behind the counter tries to calm him down, apparently she already knew, and the wild Italian rooster storms into the kitchen and continues to use the dark language of Mordor.
Anyway, Italian ladies seem to be quite persuasive and I got what I wanted.
While I sat at the counter, I had some time to observe: Every customer quickly gulps down an espresso and munches on a croissant, then they promptly leave!
So I order an espresso, have my toast with the drink, whistle a 'Grazie and Arrivederci' to everyone and leave with light steps.
A little away from the coast and into the mountains it should go today, because the straight line from Taranto to the Calabrian area was really boring to me.
It's like a different world here!
Every few hundred meters, a sheepdog pops up and defends its sheep!
Flower meadows as far as the eye can see!
Rock and greenery constantly alternate, and these mountain villages are pretty impressive!
The potholes on the roads are definitely not an endangered species here, that's for sure, because if they multiply a little more, they could form their own country or easily throw our delicate Reichsbürger supporters off their strange paths.
But it doesn't bother me, it's just a warning to soft Harley riders and other chopper stuff...
Oh, and it should be clear that you better not say anything against religion in this area, when every few kilometers there's a stone with a saint on it next to the road!
So, that's all from my side.
P.s.: Look for it! Look for it! You will find it!
