Arrived in Ranthambhore National Park, where there are 83 wild tigers and 153 leopards - unfortunately we didn't see any tigers, but a crocodile, many antelopes, birds and countless monkeys. The boys also saw leopards.
The national park is divided into zones into which only a certain number of jeeps and buses are allowed and everyone is keen on the rare tigers that can be seen. Personally, I'm happy that there is a place where these great animals can live in peace. Queen Elizabeth shot the last two tigers in 1969, after which it was fortunately banned.
Our accommodation, the Tiger Valley Resort, was a dream - simple and very nice, like many accommodations here. The mostly very helpful people and the wonderful Indian food are incomparable.
Since we are still in the north of India, it is winter here at this time of year, which means around 18-20 degrees during the day and 7-10 degrees at night. We've never had heaters and it's not common either. There are campfires burning here and there at night, but otherwise there are warm blankets in the accommodation. If we have warm water, we take another shower before leaving because we don't know whether the next accommodation will only have cold water.
