Today we went on a long tail boat tour. We were picked up from the hotel at 8 a.m. Since we didn't manage to have breakfast beforehand, we bought a croissant and raisin rolls at 7eleven yesterday. After a short wait, we took the boat to the first island. Tub Island. After a quick nap during the hour-long stay, we continued to Chicken Island for a swim. Shortly after we jumped into the open sea, it started to poke us. At first we thought it was due to the high salt content, but it was jellyfish that secrete stinging capsules from their threads. This is unpleasant but harmless. We were on Ko Poda for lunch. We had lunch here (rice with vegetables - for a change). We also ate very tasty watermelon! Finally we stopped at Phra Nang Beach. Here too we met Nina's favorite friends again - the monkeys! A local also kindly welcomed us. A monitor lizard! Wow, we were amazed and had a lot of respect.
Conclusion about the boat tour: all the destinations we went to were overcrowded with visitors, that bothered us a bit, of course you could have thought of it in advance. The islands themselves were beautiful. Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy today, so we didn't get any perfect views. However, we found our boss particularly cool; she accompanied us in a fun way. You have to do it once.
After a shower and the fourth power nap for the day, we went to the veggie restaurant. Because yes, we were hungry again. We are always surprised that in this country it is common to go to restaurants barefoot (without shoes). Here we reviewed our first week of vacation together. What did we like and not like so much? What might bother us about others? ... That was an honest conversation that was good for us.
We ended the day on the beach promenade with a pack of cookies.
Until tomorrow
