Hamburg is now in second place, Edinburgh is unbeatable, full of attractions, but also full of tourists.
The journey itself was a highlight, three bridges, motorway, country road and railway - a great sight.
But what makes the city so interesting is the cycle path system. Old railway lines have been converted into cycle paths, so you practically ride through the city without road traffic and annoying intersections (naturally the cycle paths intersect).
As in the whole of Scotland, the signposting for cycle paths is very good, we have not had any other country where the signposting for cyclists is as well developed as in Scotland, even in remote villages we have never had real problems finding our way.
It is not possible to explore the city in one day, I will come back again, I have made up my mind about that.
To relax, you have to stay in the city a little longer, after the lonely bike tours of the last few days, it is hardly possible for us to endure the hustle and bustle, that's why we are already continuing towards England on the second day and right away we have one of the highest mountain ranges in front of us - 400 meters in altitude to climb today, the weather is playing along, clouds but no rain, wind always but not as strong as in the last few days. Here we come, England!
