3rd Day, September 18th. Sentosa Park

Нийтэлсэн: 25.11.2018

Today is hiking day! I am well-rested, energetic, and the plan for today is to visit Sentosa Park and Universal Studios.

I took the MRT to Sentosa Park, crossed a river to get to the island. I was really impressed with a cable car that spans across the sea to a mountain.

Upon arriving at Sentosa Park and Universal Studios, I checked the ticket price, but it was too expensive for me at $70.

I explored the entire park on my own, saw a lot, beautiful beaches, and very few people early in the morning.

But there was one beach that amazed me: so many sand sculptures and sand castles in all shapes, it was breathtaking to see the artistic skill put into these masterpieces.

Then, I headed to the mountain and took the cable car across the river, which was quite expensive at around $35 but worth the price. I can say I've ridden many cable cars, but never over the sea and through a 25-story building towards a mountain.

On the mountain, there were several old plaques that describe the history of Singapore as a trading city. These copper plaques are very detailed and provide a really good image of Singapore.

After this excursion, I headed back to the hotel. But since I have overcome my jet lag and updated my Couchsurfing profile, I wanted to experience something more.

I met up with a Couchsurfer, Kroydl Banayo Deveza, a really open guy, with many stories to tell, and we had a lot of laughs together with half a bottle of Red Label Whiskey. He told me about nudist beach stories in Australia and how much he loves Europe.

Since this was my last evening, I eventually said goodbye and went back to my hotel.

My next flight departs at 8:30 am the next day.
