For breakfast, there is bread from the previous day with honey from our own production. Then the usual - going up and down between the Refugio and the docking area. Juliette plays tour guide for a few Americans, I stay in the Refugio. According to the board, only two people are registered for the lunch departure. In the end, four people show up at the bottom of the rock. Pablo is not amused and sulks at me. He only has two life jackets with him. Well, what can you do. Miscommunication happens quite often here.

Mati returns from Refugio Alerces at noon. After going up and down to the docking area three times in the heat, I'm pretty exhausted. Marco calls, telling me to go to Refugio Alerces for two nights with Lars.

So that means another 6.5 km uphill. Phew.

Once there, Lars makes bread. I spend the rest of the evening reading in front of the wood stove.
