they can experience something.
It didn't stop at a one-hour delay. We finally started at 8:45 pm for the first time because we had lost our slot (assigned start time) before. And who was to blame? The weather - who else. We noticed that on the flight to Frankfurt. It was quite bumpy.
But we landed safely and had to make a final sprint to catch our connecting flight. With hanging tongues, completely sweaty (we were wearing 2 jackets) and out of breath (at least me), we reached the counter 2 minutes before departure. Now you may wonder if it's a good omen when the staff already knows the name Wagner. At that moment, it wasn't for us, because after the realization that we finally arrived, we immediately received the information that our suitcases will probably not make it. And immediately the hint of how to proceed. Well, it's also everyone's dream to walk around for days in the same sweaty-smelly clothes. Maybe at least then you have peace from the mosquitos. But our connecting flight was also delayed by 30 minutes, so we were able to happily pick up our suitcases in Singapore after a turbulent flight.
The 13-hour flight went by quickly, we only managed to watch 2 movies. I have to say Singapore Airlines is great. The food was delicious, the service was very good, the seat was comfortable and the toilets were so big that you could move around and not just enter backwards to come out forwards.
And then we finally arrived - in Singapore, a great city with a well-developed subway network. Normally it takes 20, maybe 25 minutes from the airport to our hotel. We somehow took an hour. First we missed the transfer stop - so we drove back to the airport. Transferred to another line. Walked kilometers to change to the next train and at some point, we were there. Sweaty (30 degrees and 85% humidity) and happy in the hotel.
Those who know us know that we don't just relax, so we explored the city and the Chinese cuisine in China-town. Great modern, super clean city with spicy food - and a rock-hard bed.
Good night
