Evora Chapel of Bones

Doro googles a report about the Chapel of Bones in Evora, the weather is hardly suitable for the beach anyway, so we drove a few km inland.
Near the old city center of Evora there is a free square intended for motorhome parking, so it only took us 15 minutes on foot to the chapel.

The chapel is "decorated" with skulls and bones of approximately 1200 deceased from the 16th century. In the 18th century, space was needed in the cemeteries and this solution was devised. Most of the bones are probably from monks. Everything seems very clean to us, not creepy at all, the exhibition is perfectly organized, everything is explained and explained on boards in several languages.
