In Wilsons Promontory National Park, we finally saw kangaroos. We were so close to them that we could observe them very well.
Continuing our search for koalas, constantly looking up, I almost stepped on a snake! Let me tell you, my heart rate instantly went up to 200. But luckily, the snake was just as scared of us as we were of it, so it slithered away. Lucky us!
In the end, it was a very successful day as we saw wombats, wallabies, pink and yellow cockatoos, colorful parrots, Cape Barren geese, and giant ants.
Walking through the wilderness is really great and exciting because every rustle from the bushes could be anything.
The Prom, as the park is also called, combines wilderness, coastal landscapes, and dreamy white beaches. One of the most famous is the "Squeaky Beach" - when you walk on it, the sand squeaks under your feet. So overall, a very beautiful place on earth!
But one important animal is still missing from our list: the koala!
