Farewell for now

The last entry was quite a while ago, but not much exciting has happened since then. In New Zealand, we've seen everything we wanted to see, and around Christchurch, activities are limited. So we spend the weeks sweeping a construction site and on the weekends, we go out with our roommates Marina, Dimitri, and Mo to party.

On Easter Saturday, we were able to sell our car to a nice American backpacking couple who will hopefully have a good trip with our car. I had found a hobby futsal league in Christchurch a while ago, so I was busy on Wednesday evenings. In the end, we finished in an outstanding 3rd place out of 6 teams :D

In between, Alma and Leon visit us, whom we know from our first hostel in NZ, for an evening and bring some variety into our everyday life. Claudi and Marina visit Bottle Lake Forest on a Saturday and even bring back some mushrooms. The days are getting shorter and colder, and we are looking forward to the warm Australia. However, there is always a sentimental thought that we have to leave this beautiful country and our beloved roommates.

On our last weekend, there is a farewell marathon. On Friday, we go out for a drink with our colleagues to say goodbye. On Saturday, Jasmin and Sebastian (also from the first hostel) visit us again, just like the previous weekend. On Sunday, our boss Rangi invited us to dinner. We say goodbye to Marina, Mo, and Dimitri, and hopefully, we'll see them again in St. Petersburg or Moscow :)

We also had a few issues with the rental because they forgot that we were moving out. So Monday was relatively stressful. But we make it to the airport without any problems, and now we are sitting on the plane heading towards Sydney.
