We climbed up and treated ourselves to a delicious muffin and coffee in this charming little town. Then we continued on to Wharariki with a stop at the beach Parapara. It's a very beautiful and endless long beach. After a short rest, we continued on to Collingwood, a small and cute fishing village, and finally to the beach Pupunja, which is in the north of the South Island. It's an incredibly beautiful beach, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, very long, with sandy dunes and an unbelievably beautiful view of the beach and the sea. The weather wasn't the best, but it was still an unforgettable moment. On the way back to the camper, we became aware again of how powerful and impressive nature can be. The beach suddenly became about 500m wider and the 1000 black swans were suddenly far out. It seems to be a breeding ground for many bird species. We stayed at a camping site nearby, a bit in the countryside but nice. There were free horses, peacocks, and ducks. That was the end of the day and it was already evening again.
