The next day we learned and borrowed bicycles. At the end of Ao Noi there is a beautiful wooden temple and a cave. Of course, we have to check that out and with the bike we quickly and comfortably reach our destination. And we can get used to the left-hand traffic in Thailand.
The temple is completely made of wood and looks very fascinating. There are some stray dogs in the shade.

To get to the cave, we have to climb stairs again! We are sweating again when we arrive at the top. However, it is pleasantly cool in the cave and apart from some bats, we are alone and can take a closer look at everything in peace. The cave is surprisingly large and consists of a whole series of caves. There are two huge golden Buddha statues and a small army of stone soldiers.

In the afternoon we visit the beach on the military site. It is shortly before sunset and now the Thais also dare to go in the water. After all, the chance of getting tan is significantly lower now. Or is it because today is Sunday and generally more Thais are out and about? Max stands there with a totally satisfied grin, looking out at the sea and enjoying his goosebumps. A bit silly, indeed :D But we really haven't been freezing lately.

Back again, we have to make plans again, because we only have one more night in Prachuap. We actually really want to go to the islands, but the weather is going to be rainy from Thursday onwards, so it's not worth traveling to the islands. So we decide on Chumphon, about 200 km further south. Chumphon is the starting point for the boat trip to Koh Tao. So we can decide on the spot whether we want to go to the island or stay on the mainland. We book a cheap hotel for two nights (about 15€ per night).

In the evening we have fish and shrimp again :) We have to make the most of being by the sea and having plenty of seafood in all forms. Since we will be leaving tomorrow, we make a short visit to the 7-Eleven to buy snacks and water. To end the day, we treat ourselves to a nightcap in a really cozy bar on the promenade.
