With a small plane we flew from Medellin to Pereira in just 30 minutes. ๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ There, I could really feel the movement of the plane throughout the flight. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜ But otherwise, it was interesting to fly with such a small machine. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Ž From Pereira, we then took a bus to Salento. ๐ŸšŒ Our backpacks were put next to the driver and the bus was once again crowded. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜ After a few turns, suddenly there was smoke coming from the front of the bus... ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฑ The door was closed, so we tried to open the windows a little bit at least, so we wouldn't get smoke poisoning. ๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ˜ท The driver was acting a bit strange, though, and was bending down near the pedals. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Oh oh... hopefully he's alright and it's nothing serious... ๐Ÿ˜ณ When the smoke finally disappeared, we found out that he had forgotten to release the handbrake. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚ After a long time, he managed to release it somehow, and finally we arrived in Salento. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜…

We actually put on our hiking shoes and went to the "Valle del Cocora". โ›ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž The first part felt almost like being in the Alps, but then we continued through the cloud forest to a hummingbird farm. โ›ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž We had a little snack there and watched the hummingbirds quickly devouring the nectar. ๐Ÿ˜œ But what was really amazing was the beautiful green fields with tall palm trees and cows grazing on the hillside in front of us. โ›ฐ๏ธ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿฎ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ˜ We were able to enjoy this special panorama. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

On the next day, we visited a organic coffee farm. ๐ŸŒฑ

Since no one else besides us joined the Spanish tour, we had a private tour with the farmer. ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ƒ He showed us his entire farm and explained every step from planting to the coffee in the cup. ๐ŸŒฑโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Then we were allowed to separate the dried coffee beans from the husks with a sieve in front of the house, roast them in their aluminum pans, grind them, and of course, drink them. โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ Colombian coffee is really something special. โค๏ธ Even Pรคdu had some โ˜•๏ธ. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜œ

The farmer also showed us what else they grow on the farm. ๐ŸŒฟ From bamboo and various herbs to blackberries, avocado trees, bananas, limes, passion fruit, and pineapple that we were allowed to pick and eat. ๐ŸŽ‹๐Ÿฅ‘๐ŸŒ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜œ It was one of the best fruits we've ever had. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜
