Arches National Park

On Sunday, we got up early to leave behind the more than 300km to Arches National Park. When we started driving, we had temperatures around freezing point and the water in the Colorado River was steaming.

By 10 o'clock we had arrived at the national park. We drove to the end of the park (Arches only has one entrance and one road) and took a 2.5-hour hike here. Our goal was the Double-O-Arch. On the way there, we had to climb really steep rocks and walk along the ridge at the top. But we also had a phenomenal view. By now, temperatures had also risen to over 24°C.

Another highlight was the Double-Arch at the very end. (The Double-O-Arch has two holes on top of each other, the Double-Arch has two arches at right angles to each other and another hole on top)

We spent the night in nearby Moab. Here we also had dinner at a microbrewery. The food and beer were okay, but simply no comparison to German beer. It starts with the fact that they don't have proper beer glasses here, everything comes in the same glass, whether it's Pils or wheat beer.
