Kranj/Radovljica

Kranj is considered the capital of the Slovenian Alps. It is small and very manageable. You often see the typical Slovenian paintings on the houses. Many of the houses have not been renovated yet. However, work is being done in every corner to give the buildings a new old shine and preserve them. There is a canyon that stretches through the city. You can also walk through it. A bridge connects the halves of the city.

Radovljica is very similar to Kranj but in slightly better condition. It is only a few kilometers away from Kranj and here you can already get the first impressions of the Karawanks and the Julian Alps.
