Sergi accidentally discovered Chaga on an old birch tree while fishing on the lake shore. Chaga mushroom is a vital mushroom that grows on birch trees. It is considered a potent remedy for treating diabetes, gastritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, cancer, psoriasis, asthma, and many other diseases in Lapland folk medicine. Chaga mushroom usually grows on birch trees that are 40-70 years old. Its spores settle in the cracks of the birch bark and grow into the trunk over time.
