From a remote island to Phnom Penh

From Kampot I drove to Sihanoukville, in order to go from there, to one of the islands, by boat.

I spend a night in a quiet Hostel and in the morning I got the boat to Koh Ta Kiev. The Hostel I stayed in, had no WIFI, no shower just a bucket you could fill with water and throw over your head. One of the most breathtaking experiences was to see the bioluminescent plankton (glowing plankton in the sea). I ended up staying 5 nights on the island without doing anything.

As soon as I got back to the many land I drove to Phnom Penh (capital city of cambodia). I didn't spend much time there, just two nights in order to see the Killing field and the prison museum. These two sights, are essential to see if you happen to be in cambodia, due to the dramatic effects the khmer rouge had on cambodian history.

Without a doubt, I had to go to the temples of Ankor Wat, which i did. Because I ended up in a Hostel, where I was the only guest, i went by my self. Which in the end was smart, because I had the chance to see as many temples on one day, as other people do on three. The entire day, I drove though the temples complex on my motorbike, which was great!!!

My Last stop in Cambodia was Battambang. I had the chance to ride a bamboo train, see a crocodile farm and the batcave (a cave where 1'000'000 bats flew out).

Lucky for me I even found a trustworthy buyer for my motorbike.
