Day 35: Tablelands

Now we are both sick and taking it easy. In the Tablelands, for example in Atherton, you can go cycling. However, we choose the easily accessible sights. The drive from Cairns to Atherthon is already winding and beautiful. It is also about five degrees cooler here, making it much more pleasant than the humid weather on the coast.

Today we are staying at the Malanda Falls. The campground is right next to the rainforest - we especially notice that at sunset when the wildlife around us becomes the most active. Very beautiful. The waterfall itself is cute.
