Wow, what a beautiful wildlife/safari day ๐Ÿ’›

Continuing along the "NC 500," we first headed to Durness in the far north to the beach. On the way there, of course, we were surrounded by sheep ๐Ÿ By now, we have gotten used to it, but we are certainly not tired of it. There was also a pig on the side of the road today.

The Durness Beach itself was almost empty except for the seagulls and was a great paradise for Nerina and us. Even without rain ๐Ÿ˜Š

But then the safari really started: after a few kilometers, we were close to Puffins Cove, which we only knew from hearing about it, but it is not a proper official attraction. So, we looked for a parking space on a whim and coincidentally met a British couple who had just come from the Cove ๐Ÿ˜… Encouraged that we were in the right place, we went somewhere along the marsh on a thin path until we reached the coast surrounded by pheasants and birds. And then they suddenly appeared: the puffins ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿง So many cute little birds ๐Ÿ˜

Happy to have seen the many puffins, we went to a completely secluded place, which was beautiful but had poor internet connection. Since that is important for work, we packed everything up after eating and continued on a bit tired ๐Ÿ˜Œ

And it was worth it! We were once again treated to the full wildlife experience on the lonely road: a multitude of deer and hares alternating with the many sheep. The rainbow right in front of us was the crowning glory! ๐ŸŒˆ

Luckily, we also found a nice spot. Good night ๐Ÿ˜ด
