A roof over your head

First the bad news: Unfortunately, the rain continues. Apart from that, there is only positive news to report! Since Sunday, we have been heading south again, which means it's getting dark again and we can get more sleep! Due to the weather and the need to do our dirty laundry, we decided to stay at a campsite near Trondheim for one night. After 8 nights of wild camping, this comfort was very pleasant. We were also situated in the flight path of the nearby airport, which gave us a sense of home since Hennef is also known for this noise pollution. However, we were compensated by the proximity to Trondheim Fjord, and the saltwater kept us free from mosquitoes. Before our trip, our mothers were concerned that we would lose a lot of weight, but we can give reassurance! Our dinner always consists of 2 pounds of pasta/rice + sauce and our breakfast consists of 2 pounds of bread, so no worries. Yesterday, we made a short stop in Trondheim, with its beautiful stilt houses. Before heading to Alvdal, where Philip's relatives warmly received us and took us to their beautiful mountain cabin after delicious pizza, where they even had cold beer for us!!! We will spend the next few days in this cute, fireplace-heated wooden cabin. Since the fridge was not only stocked with beer but also with plenty of breakfast items (even sausage and cheese!), we had the best breakfast in weeks today! Strengthened, we then took the canoe to the nearby lake. Once again, we tried our hand at fishing and had to realize that either it is not our expertise or the fish simply don't like us. However, it's not so bad that we don't have fish for dinner, as we are currently on our way to have moose for dinner, to which Philip's relatives have invited us. We will report in the next post how we liked this meat that was previously unknown to us!

So ein Glück muss man haben - auf so einer langen Reise ein bier- und frühstückbestücktes Haus vorfinden. Wir freuen uns mit euch. Petri- und Waidmannsheil für die weitere gute Versorgung!
