Let's go to Chavez, the starting point, the KM 0.00 of Rota 2. I get the stamp pass plus sticker and t-shirt and follow the pretty good directions. Unfortunately, the stamp stations are partly very hidden, hard to find and often closed during lunchtime, but I still manage to get some stamps. It's brutally hot and humid: 36 degrees Celsius. In Lamego, I find a room in very British style and get a tip for a winemaker in the Douro Valley near Regua.
