Last night the pub was open to everyone. Friends and neighbors came as well as a riding group from another riding stable. Magnus had arranged with Cassandra beforehand that we should take over the bar, as he either wanted to play music or wanted to be present as a host. Besides, his friends were also there. It all worked out well and slowly I'm getting to know some Icelanders (people) too. We had several funny conversations and the evening was really nice. At 10:15 p.m., some people on horseback also arrived. They simply unsaddled and 'parked' them in our paddock. That's something you only find here. Of course, if you're driving a car, the zero blood alcohol limit applies here - I think it doesn't matter on a horse. All those who had come with a horse would certainly have had to give up their driver's license. It was also especially nice that everyone sang along loudly, it felt like all Icelanders can sing well, regardless of whether they are male or female. No one is embarrassed to go to the microphone. We Germans are usually too shy or too prudish for something like that. Everyone was gone by 12:45 a.m. and it was probably 1:30 a.m. by the time we cleaned up the pub and I finally went to sleep. It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't promised an extra early breakfast this morning. But Magnus, as caring as always, even said that I should take a break, which I did.
