Blue City Jodhpur

On the train to Jodhpur, we met a nice Swiss person. When we arrived at the train station, we were picked up and taken to our guest house where the owner was already waiting for us. After a recommendation, we took a walk through the empty streets to a wonderful restaurant. Waking up to the sound of drums and bells, we enjoyed a good breakfast with a view of the fort before we set off. Before leaving, we got to know two travelers from England with whom we had a longer conversation.

Then we took a rickshaw up past Jaswant Thada to Mehrangarh Fort. We explored the fortress and admired the magnificent relics and preserved rooms. We also saw the blue city from above, and it was hard to miss how it got its name.

In the afternoon, we sat on the rooftop terrace with our two new acquaintances. We chatted about various topics and played cards. We decided to go for one or two beers in the evening. On the street, we asked a rickshaw driver for a suitable place. We ended up in a darker room with some other Indians, which turned out to be a secret insider tip.
While enjoying some beers, we continued our conversations and our game. Time passed quickly, and we headed home late at night.
Our host's family was there, and there was a woman who was currently painting henna tattoos. We joined them for a while and learned a lot about Indian culture.
Finally, we managed to make it to bed and after a very short night, we got up again to not miss our bus.
It was a bit complicated, but after asking a few times, we finally found the right bus, which may not have been very luxurious but it was the right one.
